About the Role
St John Ambulance has an array of revenue generation, charitable and operational functions, supported by a large digital product portfolio, many of these products are legacy systems, siloed to individual business units. Our recently established digital transformation leadership have set out an ambitious digital transformation roadmap in line with our 2020 strategy to update, integrate and replace these systems. This is an interesting and exciting time, to join a huge digital transformation programme at the beginning - where the impact will be felt by over 19,000 volunteers & employees in the delivery of our charitable initiatives.
This is a key role in implementing our digital strategy and you will work with senior leaders & stakeholders to implement our 3-5 year systems strategy and roadmap. You will help lead the transformation of our systems to a more coherent, platform-based architecture and act as the charity's chief solutions architect and champion an enterprise architecture approach across the organisation. You will lead on the implementation of key digital projects such as new CRM's, warehouse management solutions and the review of our Incident Management Framework.

You will have a comprehensive and high-level understanding of a broad range of current & prospective solutions and be able to evaluate/recommend the most suitable and workable future proof solutions.
You will have experience of delivering enterprise and solutions level architecture across a large and complex organisation previously, especially within mobile, cloud and infrastructure environments.
Stakeholder engagement is key to success within this role, so you must have experience in managing key stakeholder relationships at a leadership level.
