Tell us about your first aid experiences

Every year, too many people die in situations where first aid could have given them a chance to live.

St John Ambulance wants to encourage everyone to learn even the most basic first aid, so that they can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.

If you have a first aid story, you can help us to raise awareness of the importance of these life saving skills.

With your permission, we can work with newspapers, magazines, TV and radio programmes to place your story in the right context, and remind people of just how important our work is.

Please be assured that we will never give journalists your contact details without checking with you first. If you have any questions, please contact the PR team on pr@sja.org.uk or 020 7324 4215.

Your story

Please give as much information about your story as you can - even the smallest detail will help it stand out to the media, so continue on a separate sheet if necessary.

  • What happened? Why? When? Where?
  • Who was involved?
  • Are you still in contact with the person you helped/who helped you?
  • What was the conclusion?
  • What is your message to others?
