Celebrate St John’s Day with us
Join us on Saturday 22 June in Paternoster Square for our
annual celebration of St John’s Day – a day to celebrate our past
and present for the whole family.
What’s on
Come along and enjoy our free fun activities!
Learn first aid from our trainers
Learn essential first aid skills live from our highly skilled
trainers.
We'll be providing demonstrations on:
- • how to help if someone is choking
- • how to help if someone needs a bandage
- • baby and adult CPR
- • the recovery position
All essential skills in becoming a life saver. You’ll also get
the chance to practice what you’ve learned as well as use some of
our equipment!
Tour a 1929 ambulance versus a 2018
ambulance
Take a trip back in time where you can see one of our vintage
ambulances and compare it to one of the newest ambulances in our
fleet.
Get into uniform as old as World War One
Have your photo taken in historic nursing uniforms from World
War One, which show how nursing and caring has changed over the
years.
Meet a Badger for the first time
Meet and take photos with our mascot Bertie Badger and learn
more about what our young St John volunteers get up to.
Dance along to a live band
Experience the magic of The Wilnecote St John Ambulance Band as
they perform classics old and new.
Take part in our Treasures puzzle
Put the missing pieces together to get a picture-perfect view of
our number one treasure.
The St John bar is coming
We are thrilled to announce the opening, for one day only, of
the St John in Paternoster Square. Working with our friends at
Fuller’s, you can raise a glass to St John Ambulance and all our
people who give such service to their communities.
