Trusts and statutory fundraising

Grants from charitable trusts and statutory sources are vital to support a range of St John Ambulance projects that teach and deliver first aid. If you administer a trust or statutory body, we would love to have your support.

‘I am delighted that we are able to help St John Ambulance’s RISE project to continue to support thousands of young people across the country. Not only will it help to save lives in the future, it will also help to empower the young people involved to achieve their potential.’

How we can work together

St John Ambulance offers many exciting and worthwhile opportunities for charitable trusts and foundations and statutory bodies.

Over the course of this year, we will be fundraising for the following projects:

First aid for carers

This project aims to train informal carers across England with essential first aid skills. Our courses will have discussions around the roles and responsibilities of being a carer with the aim of building peer-support networks between the attendees.

St John Ambulance treatment centreMobile Treatment Centres (MTCs)

We need your support to help us to provide life-saving treatment by helping us purchase MTCs.

Our MTCs allow our volunteer paramedics, nurses and doctors the opportunity to assess and treat patients in a safe and stable environment at events nationwide.

We are registered and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), so you can rest assured we provide the very best service.

We provide first aid and primary health care to the homeless and vulnerably housed people in Brighton. We also equip homeless people with basic first aid skills.

Schools training

Funding from Department for Education's Character Grant, worth £254,911, has enabled us to work with schools across England teaching first aid skills to children, helping us create a generation of first aiders.

Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are used by our volunteers to restart a heart after cardiac arrest. Using an AED within three minutes of cardiac arrest can give up to a 70% chance of survival.
