Day Centre Driver & Carer

About the Role

As a Day Centre Driver & Carer, you will drive St John Ambulance vehicles to provide transportation and assist with care for day centre users ensuring you provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment for clients in a daycare setting. You will work with clients from a wide range of background, some of which may be elderly, physically disabled, have early dementia and/or be socially disadvantaged.

As part of your role, you will ensure clients are transported safely to and from the centre, drive & care for clients on trips away from the Centre and assist with the care of clients as required, including assisting clients with mobility problems and participation in activities with clients e.g. Baking, crafts, quizzes, outside visits,

About You

As this is a driving role, you must possess a full driving licence with category B and D1, with a minimum 3 years full driving licence experience. 

Ideally, you will have experience in a driving and care role, however, you must be passionate about providing a high level of care, as many of the people you will be assisting will be elderly, physically disabled, have early dementia and/or be socially disadvantaged.
