Facilities Maintenance Operative
About the Role
As a Facilities Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out planned repairs and corrective building maintenance of a portfolio of buildings within the region.
You are a key member of the National Facilities team and will ensure that our buildings are maintained to a high standard, ensuring they are safe & legally compliant and that all issues are addressed promptly to enable our core business functions to remain operational.
You will be responsible for planning your own workload as well as making sure that you deliver a quick, efficient and high-quality service, covering a number of buildings within a region.
This role interacts with multiple levels of stakeholders throughout the organisation so you must be a good communicator and be able to remain professional and courteous when working with our internal and external customers.
You will have experience of carrying out maintenance & repairs and be able to prioritise and plan competently, with little direction. As this role is a regional role, you must have the ability to drive to be able to travel between sites.
St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, providing first aid, keeping people safe at events and working alongside the NHS in response to 999 calls. Much of our front-line delivery is provided by our dedicated and highly-trained volunteers.
Every year, hundreds of thousands of people, many of them under 18, also learn how to save a life through our training, education and youth programmes.
