Reporting to the Driving Education Manager, this important new role is responsible for delivering high quality driving education and training to St John people and external stakeholders so that they are trained to the right standard. St John Ambulance have a strong commitment to developing people and training, during the 18-month developing role there will be a structured programme to help you achieve the qualifications needed. Upon completion, the next step is to become one of our Driving Education Officers which is key to supporting the organisation’s needs.

About You:
- · Level 3 Certificate in Emergency Response Driving or IHCD/ BTEC Level 3 Emergency Driving Certificate
- · DVLA full UK driving licence including Category B with no penalty points
- · Demonstrate the ability to drive to a high standard and to all road traffic law
- · Possess strong compassionate leadership, negotiation and communication skills
About the Role:
- · Develop the skills to work as part of a team to deliver regulated education and assessments
- · Develop the skills to support all SJA people involved in driver education and training to achieve the required levels of performance through the delivery of high-quality tuition and assessment
- · Develop the skills to design, co-ordinate and deliver education and training packages to suit the requirements of individuals, organisational needs and external requirements
- · Understand the requirements of the Goals for Driver Education, requirements of awarding bodies and needs of St John Ambulance in the planning, design, development and review of driving education and training programs as required
- · You will achieve a Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training, Level 4 Diploma in Emergency Response Ambulance Driving Instruction and the DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (Car)
