Amazing opportunity has arisen for an Event Operation Manager to make a difference and ultimately save people’s lives!  This varied role will form a key part of the Operations team working as part of the regional leadership team and will report to the Head of Event Operations.  The successful candidate will play a key and important role and will be accountable for the planning and operational delivery of event cover within their region/designated customers.  Ensuring safe, effective, high quality medical provision at events for attendees in their time of need.  Event examples include The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Pride events, Wimbledon and Great North Run.

About You:

  • Knowledge of event industry best practice/compliance/regulatory requirements
  • Experience of managing budgets and implementing cost control measures to enable successful achievement of forecasted business performance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and build effectively at all levels with
  • internal and external stakeholders both verbally and in writing
  • Experience in building and leading high-quality result focused teams

 

About the Role:

  • Lead planning of event medical and first aid cover within their region / designated customers whilst ensuring regional compliance with national standards, internal policies and event legal requirements.
  • Ensure that costs, budgets and finances for events are managed effectively with a focus on minimising unnecessary expenditure.
  • Work closely with Volunteering Delivery Managers to ensure the management of volunteer capacity numbers are matched to the activity demand.
  • Drive the implementation of the Health and Volunteering Business Plan within the Event Operations Team and champion awareness across Regional networks.
