About the Role
Our Ambulance Operations team here at St John Ambulance continues to provide outstanding patient-centred care to thousands of patients each year. We’re now ready for our next round of stable growth as we seek to welcome an additional Ambulance Operations Manager (AOM) to our team.
Reporting to our Head of Ambulance Operations, we are seeking to appoint a talented and motivated individual with senior leadership experience who will adopt a key leadership role in St John Ambulance, managing a large team of people as well as being responsible for service delivery across a geographically large area with multiple customers and stakeholders.
You’ll directly manage a team of Ambulance Locality Managers and support them to deliver quality services in a highly regulated field. You’ll emulate compassionate leadership whilst having a keen attention to detail, an eye for budgets and margins and a desire to help grow the work we do across the country.
The Ambulance Operations Manager can be based at either Bristol (Avon), Exeter (Devon), Guildford (Surrey), Poole (Dorset), Southampton (Hampshire) or Brighton (Sussex) with frequent travel to other ambulance sites across the south stretching from Ashford to Truro. This role will cover the south of the country and you will be expected to travel to meet our people and customers.
This is not a 9-to-5 role and you may have to travel and work away from home and be available for occasional weekend and more frequent out-of-hours / evening working.
