Exciting opportunity to join St John Ambulance in an essential role of Community Operations Coordinator will oversee a portfolio of community response projects, ensuring the high quality day-to-day operational delivery of a range of community response programmes throughout a team of volunteers and staff. They will be key to ensure St John are providing high quality care to service users is of key importance, and this strand will continually look at quality improvement and strive to support the delivery of outstanding services.

About You:

  • Experience in community services/operational management
  • Experience of working to deliver contractual requirements and produce regular reporting for monitoring purposed
  • IT and software literate in appropriate systems
  • Able to lead and manage people towards achieving desired goals by delegating and prioritising effectively

About The Role:

  • Manage a geographically dispersed team of staff and volunteers whilst providing vibrant and compassionate line management to direct reports
  • Develop and implement a portfolio of Community Operations initiatives in line with the serving our communities strategy
  • Support high standards in CQC regulated activity and support the agenda of continuous improvement, supporting audit action plans to improve services, and ensure all our programmes comply with internal and external requirements
  • Contribute to contract and bids, providing subject matter expertise in community response programmes and identify and secure new service opportunities for St John to provide community services
  • Closely managing costs and budgets to ensure that we maximise both time and value
