This is a 12 month fixed term contract
This is an exciting time to join St John with our new 10 year strategy underway and our ongoing digital transformation. We are now seeking a Marketing Database & Systems Analyst within our Education & Enterprise division where you will develop SQL Server databases (Training, Supplies, Events, Ambulance Operations - mostly B2B but with one element of B2C) and create and maintain SQL scripts to run data selections needed for the delivery of revenue-focused Marketing Campaigns. This role will be responsible for providing insights and expertise while liaising with stakeholders as well as improving and optimising flows and processes amongst the different systems using SQL, VBA and other technologies echoing St John Ambulance digital transformation.

About You:
- Experience of managing and maintaining large databases ideally within a Marketing environment
- Experience of data analysis reporting and B2B data management
- Experience of VBA/Macros to automate Excel/Office processes
- An advanced knowledge of SQL, SSIS and MS Excel
- A good understanding of data protection principles
- Strong attention to detail with high level of organisation
About The Role:
- Liaise effectively with stakeholders to determine campaign requirements and translate those into data outputs from databases and systems. Use Data techniques to match these outputs to the stakeholders requirements. This involves segmentation, deduplication, formatting, deletion and addition of content as needed.
- Maintain the various data silos, ensuring that the data from the various Education & Enterprise systems are validated in the SQL databases.
- Support the data flows between St John Ambulance 3rd party Marketing Data partners to enhance the business value of the Marketing Data.
- Corroborate that the data stored is still fit for purpose and suggest and implement changes when business needs merit.
- Provide automated solutions for manual/time-consuming processes. This will involve engaging with non-technical stakeholders to fully understand the nature of their processes and ways to integrate this with other existing subprocesses.
