St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, supporting and enabling them to access and receive physical and mental health first aid. We do this through developing and providing effective community response and outreach services (e.g. Ambulance response, Falls response, Night Time Economy and Homelessness outreach) and using our longstanding expertise to empower people with vital clinical skills and the confidence to use them (e.g. our Volunteers and Community Advocates, NHS Cadets and Young Responders programmes). There is also a buoyant social enterprise network which delivers first aid training and supplies medical consumables to businesses and consumers.
Job Summary
The postholder plays a key role in delivering high quality services to all stakeholders for technology services at St John. The role is responsible for end to end lifecycle of all incidents and problems including ownership of all high priority technology incidents along with the root cause analysis of reactive & proactive problem records - and guides them to effective and permanent resolutions.
About You
To be successful in this role, education to Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C / 4) including Maths & English, minimum 5, experience in managing incidents in a technical environment, experience in working in an ITIL, Agile or DevOps based environment & Stakeholder management experience, for stakeholder of all levels of seniority.
About the Role
- Own, manage and continually improve the Incident & Problem management policies, processes and procedures
- Manage and drive progression of high priority and escalated incidents in accordance with the incident management process - with focus on proactive stakeholder communication, technical progression and SLA adherence
- Facilitate root cause analysis of problem records using a variety of techniques
- Prioritise problems taking into a variety of factors including operational, financial and reputational impact
- Chair a regular problem board
