St John Ambulance works at the heart of communities, supporting and enabling them to access and receive physical and mental health first aid. We do this through developing and providing effective community response and outreach services (e.g. Ambulance response & Nighttime Economy) and using our longstanding expertise to empower people with vital clinical skills and the confidence to use them (e.g. our Volunteers and Community Advocates, NHS Cadets and Young Responders programmes). There is also a buoyant social enterprise network which delivers first aid training and supplies medical consumables to businesses and consumers.

Job Summary

About You

• Professional e-mail marketing experience (ideally 1-2 years)
• Basic understanding of the marketing funnel and user journeys
• Experience of successfully managing multiple projects and conflicting priorities
• Experience of creating audience-centric content and writing for different audiences
• Experience of CRMs and email automation         

About the Role

• Help establish the email welcome journey to build affinity with the St John Ambulance brand
• Work with the brand team to design visually appealing and impactful email content
• Curate, repurpose, and develop content to feature in emails
• Proactively generate and implement creative ideas, and measure the results of tests
• Contribute to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of St John Ambulance campaigns
• Set up automated email sequences and triggers that nurture engagement, improve retention, and promote personalised supporter experiences
• Copywriting
