As one of the country’s best-loved charities, St John Ambulance played a pivotal role in responding to the pandemic as well as ‘everyday’ health emergencies, training, supporting communities, and improving young people’s lives.
As our Head of Event Healthcare, you will be at the forefront of ensuring the safe and effective delivery of our Event Healthcare services across the country. You'll be responsible for implementing and growing our event healthcare strategy, leading a passionate team to deliver exceptional patient and customer service every time. Your leadership will drive financial stability and growth, outstanding customer service and great opportunities for our people, all whilst making a significant impact on our mission.

About You:
- Proven experience in senior healthcare leadership, ideally within the charity or public sector.
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and management skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire high-quality, results-focused teams.
- Passion for making a difference and a commitment to our HEART values: Humanity, Excellence, Accountability, Responsiveness, and Teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement our Event Healthcare strategy, aligning with our mission, vision, and values.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred Event Healthcare provision through innovative leadership and collaboration.
- Revenue Growth: Drive revenue targets and efficiencies to improve our Event Healthcare services' contribution.
- Compliance and Governance: Maintain high standards of compliance with healthcare regulations and governance processes.
- Partnerships and Innovation: Strengthen commercial partnerships and develop sustainable revenue streams while leading innovation in digital and technological advancements.
Important Information:
- This role requires flexibility in working patterns and extensive travel across England.
- You will be part of our National On-Call Manager rota, requiring On-Call duties approximately 1 in 12 weeks per annum.
Selection:
Our selection days for this role will be held at our London Farringdon offices on Thursday 1 and Friday 2 May 2025 and successful applicants will be required to attend in person for a half-day selection process which will comprise a stakeholder engagement panel, competency interview and a role-related task, which will be shared ahead of the day.
