Course description

Course outline

This is a very practical 3-day course and is designed to prepare individuals to operate as emergency responders. Each candidate is continuously assessed throughout delivery against specific assessment criteria, including capturing and recording baseline observations: blood pressure, blood glucose, oxygen saturation levels, heartbeat, respiratory rate, temperature, pupils, neurological and physical tests.

Delegates must be aged 18 or older to attend this course.

Who should attend?

This course is for people wishing to renew an existing, valid FROS certificate. If your certificate has expired, you are not eligible to take this course and must reattend a 5-day FROS initial course. This course is designed for those in roles who are often first to arrive at a first aid emergency. The variations of the Level 3 qualification are aimed at positions such as security staff, responders, and those who work in high risk industries. This can also include police, fire and rescue, and ambulance trusts.

Candidates need a basic command of English (defined as Level 2). While we are often able to provide support to people who do not have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance. We may be able to make special arrangements if requested in advance. Please contact us if you need any guidance.
